Product Details
This houseplant comes from Mexico and regions in Central America, where it’s used to tropical temps during the months surrounding Christmas. Scientifically known as the Euphorbia pulcherrima, the (large-sized) poinsettia is loved in Christmas and other holiday settings because of its matching red and green colors that thrive brightest during this season. The large size reaches approximately one foot and a half tall and 15 inches wide leaf end to the leaf end. Warm-up by the fire this year with a large Christmas Poinsettia. The large size is only available for local delivery to NYC and NJ customers. We have medium size poinsettias you can buy for nationwide shipping.
(Large) Christmas Poinsettia Benefits
In the past, the poinsettia has been used for medical assistance in certain areas. Some have used parts of the plant to help with fever, pain, and as a laxative among other uses (Don’t try at home.)

A Dash of Yellow with Purpose
You may notice a dash of yellow in the middle of the red leaves. When observed closely they’re actually clumps of buds containing cyathium. After the plant sheds its leaves it can reproduce new plants on its own as it has both male and female parts. This makes it monoecious or hermaphroditic.
Plant Care Tips
Sunlight
Tolerates low sunlight or fluorescent light, but will thrive in medium, indirect light. Direct, bright sunlight should be avoided.
Maintenance
Water when top two inches of soil are dry. Water thoroughly.
Temperature
Does well at room temperature between 60°F - 77°F. Cold temperatures should be avoided.
Humidity
Prefers higher levels of humidity, around 75% or above.

Otherwise it's anywhere from $5 to $19 depending on what you order and where it's going.
International orders are set at a Flat Rate of $19 for smaller goods and $69 for larger goods. This includes tracking and insurance.
