Product Details
Commonly known as the Foxtail Fern, or the Ming Fern, this prehistoric fern is native to South Africa. With its soft, fuzzy, light to dark green fronds, this fern will surely bring the outdoorsy forest floor feel to your space!
Being that it naturally grows beneath the tropical forest canopy, it thrives in medium to bright indirect light, high humidity, warm temperatures, and consistently moist soil and will grow up to 2 ft. tall indoors. This makes them great to place in a brightly lit bathroom or kitchen!
Over time this plant may become leggy, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant's life cycle. If you prune back the leggy stems it will promote new, more compact growth!
Plant Care Tips
Sunlight
Tolerates low sunlight or fluorescent light, but will thrive in medium, indirect light. Direct, bright sunlight should be avoided.
Maintenance
Water when top two inches of soil are dry. Water thoroughly.
Temperature
Does well at room temperature between 60°F - 77°F. Cold temperatures should be avoided.
Humidity
Prefers higher levels of humidity, around 75% or above.
