From the genus sansevieria, commonly known as the Saint George's Sword or Mother-in-law's tongue, this easy-to-care-for and easily adaptable succulent plant is native to regions in tropical West Africa. With its sword-like, flat, upright, variegated leaves it is dramatically different than many plants, causing it to stand out among the crowd! Its fibers are actually used to make bowstrings!

Being that it's from a tropical environment, it thrives in low to indirect bright light, low to moderate humidity, warm temperatures and can grow up to 7 ft. tall indoors. This makes them great for just about anywhere in your house that receives a little bit of light!

Sunlight
Tolerates low sunlight or fluorescent light, but will thrive in medium, indirect light. Direct, bright sunlight should be avoided.

Maintenance
Water when top two inches of soil are dry. Water thoroughly.

Temperature
Does well at room temperature between 60°F - 77°F. Cold temperatures should be avoided.

Humidity
Prefers higher levels of humidity, around 75% or above.
