Mass canes are known to be one of the easiest plants to care for because they can tolerate a wide range of lighting condition and doesn't mind the occasional drought. They originate from the tropic and humid regions of Africa and as a houseplant they can be in any kind of light from low light/shade to indirect bright light (just keep it away from direct light).

So whether this plant is for your home office or living room desktop, just keep it in any light, shade, low light or bright light (preferred). And water the plant when the first inch of the soil is dry (about every 7-10 days depending on your indoor environment).
