I honestly don't know how to pronounce the name of this plant and I'd make it up if I were in person, but omg this plant is so cute! They remind me of the Calathea Rufibarbas where the plant also has purple-ish undersides.

They are native to southeast Asia and fairly new to the market but they've been turning heads! The Apoballis Acuminatissima 'Lavallaei' (copy & paste ;) are rather rare to come by but unlike a rare Alocasia, they are easy to care for!

Keep this plant in bright but not direct sunlight and water thoroughly when the first inch of the soil is dry! Other than that, the plant doesn't have any crazy humidity, fingernail-in-the-soil, or manure-as-fertilizer requirements. It's more down to earth and easier to enjoy :)
