Commonly known as the Elephant Ear ‘Red Secret’, this rare jewel alocasia is native to the tropical islands of maritime South East Asia, specifically Borneo. With its extraordinary, beveled, glossy, red leaves with contrasting dark veins, and bold red undersides, the Red Secret will add a POP of red, brightening up your space, as well as leave a lasting impression on your guests!

Being that it's from a tropical environment, it thrives in moderate to high humidity, warm temperatures, slightly moist soil, medium to bright indirect light and will grow up to 2.5 ft. tall indoors. This makes them great to place on a desktop, bookcase, cubby or small nook in your home that is well-lit, but doesn't get direct light! Over time this plant may lose some of its smaller leaves, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant's life cycle as all alocasias prefer to have fewer, large leaves, rather than many small leaves.
