Medium Aechmea Chantinii Red- $30.00
Commonly known as the Amazonian Zebra Plant, or the Queen of the Bromeliads, this epiphytic plant is native to the tropics of North and South America. With its striking, long, dark green and silver striped leaves, edged with many small spines, the Aechmea Chantinii Red will certainly bring the tropics to your space and leave a lasting impression on your guests!
Being that it's from a tropical environment, it thrives in high humidity, warm temperatures, drier soil, a half-full center vase, medium to indirect bright light and will grow up to 1 to 3 ft. tall, with a spread of 2 to 3 ft. indoors. This makes them great as centerpiece plants in any brightly lit space! Over time this plant will lose its central flower, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant's life cycle and new pups will sprout from the bottom of the mother plant, giving you new a new Aechmea Chantinii if you propagate it!
