Ahhh the monstera! Probably one of the most well known houseplants - and for a good reason - they're BEAUTIFUL. They are highly sought after due to the way their leaves grow - hugeeee and with holes in them. The fenestrations (holes in leaves) of the monstera, as well as their flexible growth habits, make each individual monstera very unique and one of a kind. Their trailing/climbing nature makes you feel as though you are living in a jungle! Though you aren't actually in a jungle, the monsteras are very forgiving. They are shade/low light tolerant and prefer higher humidity, but don't mind average household humidity.

If you are looking for a statement piece, these are your guys! They grow HUGEEE leaves and up to 30 ft tall outside! Indoors they can grow anywhere from 6ft up, depending on how high your ceiling is lol. The bigger they are, the more tropical your house will feel. Their lush, dense, full foliage can provide great privacy and sun blockage to your home as well as make your neighbors jealous that they don't have one! As long as you keep it in the correct conditions, (bright light, thoroughly water when half the soil is dry and fairly humid air), they will be the conversation starter of your home.

As long as you place your rubber plant in a potting medium that is well draining, create moderate humidity in your home, fertilize monthly in the growing season and water when (~) the top inch of soil becomes dry, it will be smooth sailing with your rubber tree!
